Your Future
Our aim is to provide comprehensive planning for your retirement, tailored advice for your own situation and requirements. Whatever your chosen retirement date, now is the time to make sure your goals are on track.
Why plan for retirement?
Retirement is an exciting time in your life. It's a time when you have more freedom, more choice and probably fewer commitments than ever before. We would like to help you enjoy it to the full.
You may be hoping to rely on a state pension to give you the income you need to live a rewarding life in retirement. However, you may find that the state pension will give you far less than you expect. So, you need to start planning for retirement right now.
Still unsure? Consider these facts:
1) The state pension is worth approximately 16% of average earnings, and is estimated to fall to just 9% by 2050.
2) The Government has stated that half the population are not saving enough for retirement, with 3 million people seriously under-saving.
3) Recent estimates show that the average pensioner needs at least £200 per week to afford a decent retirement
4) According to the Department for Work and Pensions, half of the population have no idea what income they will have in retirement.
5) If you started a pension at 20 years of age, you would only need to save £85 per monthfor an income of about £300 per week in retirement. If you started saving at 40, you would need to save at least £165 per month.
The value of the investment can go down as well as up and you may not get back as much as you put in.
